Centruroides pallidiceps

This scorpion of the genus Centruroides is found in Sonora, Mexico. It appears similar to Centruroides vittatus, known as the Striped Bark Scorpion. Centruroides pallidiceps are identified by their long thin pincers, long thin tail, pattern on face, and their habit of holding their tail laying on it's side when the animal is at rest. We are lucky to have a photo of this species of Sonora, Mexico Scorpion taken by Hector Villa.
