<i>Vaejovis carolineanus</i>

Above is a photo of Vaejovis carolineanus, a common scorpion found in the southeastern United States. This specimen was found in Louisiana. It has also been reported from Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. I am fortunate to have available pics of this scorpion species from Louisiana, collected by my friend Jacob Scott Hadley.
