This 3 inch black scorpion was found under debris on a rock face. It was at a spring that seeped water from cracks in the rock. It was in one of those cracks, about five feet off the ground.
The vegetation was changing from tropical deciduous forest to fan palms and bromeliads.
Approximate elevation 4000 feet.
