There are more than 100 species of scorpions in the United States. Only 1 of those scorpion species is found in Missouri. I have photos of the Missouri Scorpion sent to me by my inlaws Pam and Brad.

Scorpions have their place in the scheme of things that has nothing to do with stinging people. Scorpions are among the world's oldest land invertebrates. Scorpions do a great job of keeping insect populations in check.
